Group members contribute towards achieving the Group’s aim through their research, teaching, supervision and various intellectual and outreach activities, as in the following:
Research Seminar (twice per academic term)
This is QLG’s regular research meeting. A space where members meet to present and discuss their research. External speakers will be invited to talk to members about areas of interest, for example, linguistic approaches to religious text analysis. It will give coherence and alignment to the research conducted by Group members in the area of Qurʾānic linguistics and provide opportunities to learn about the latest advancements in their fields and discuss mutual scholarly interests.
QLG Journal
To promote research excellence in Qurʾānic linguistics, QLG will publish an online peer-reviewed journal focussing on issues in the language and linguistics of the Qurʾānic text. QLG journal will also publish the papers presented at QLG’s biennial conference.
Biennial Conference/Symposium
QLG will hold a two-yearly scholarly conference/symposium to highlight the most up-to-date research findings in the field and encourage young scholars to undertake research in Qurʾānic linguistics.
